A Mother Nature Production

A Mother Nature Production One of the prettiest sights I ever sawWere hundreds of Monarchs migrating in fallButterfly wings painted in black and orange shadesExquisite design like fine stained glass panes  They danced on the currents of warm temperate airDid weaves of ballet with such delicate flareUpward toward cumulous banks they would flyFlittering ‘round treetops on their way by They zigged and they zagged in their butterfly wayCaught on light currents in the breath of the dayThey fluttered their beauty in nature’s productionOnly the hand of a master could create their construction ©Tonya 04.17.09

Simply and exquisitly beautiful

Tony, I loved it. It must have been last month. I watched a bunch of them go through my yard last month. One lone one flew low and rested on my railing for a moment before rejoining the rest. Excellent write. Respectfully, Rett: Hug a logger, you'll never go back to trees! For the sake of children, read this. http://www.neopoet.com/node/19905

i do too, Kelsey

Beautiful and delicate! and they come in so many colors! Monarchs have to be one of favorites, perhaps because they do move in such large groups sometimes. Thank you for such a lovely review. I am really glad you enjoyed and i thank you for your time to read and leave comment on it. Always Sincere, Tonya

OOOOO Butterflies!

I love Butterflies! This had my breath from the first word! So exquisite and beautiful...can see the flock of Monarchs flying away there....wowie. Stunning. Butterflies are sooooo sweet, this poem describes them so beautifully! Awesome! The first verse is my favorite, describing the Monarchs...the stained glass...stunning imagery. It's been a long winter here, I much look forward to seeing butterflies again! I am hardest on the people I admire most.

The ones I don't admire I just give shit. Be wary if I am just nice. I would call this a well-written nature poem, lovely but not transcending. The honest truth is the last line offends me hideously. It reeks of "Intelligent Design" that dumbest of ideas used by fundamentalist Christians to try to get Creationism taught in schools. cheers, Jess Forever unwrapping the eternal present.

HAHAHAHAHA!

I will learn not to take a big drink of anything while reading a critique from you. (Made me choke something awful! lol, and laughing at the same time.) and i do apologize for offending thee. You caught me there, is my fundamentalist christian upbring. But, ya know, to each their own. I hope i don't try to force my views on anyone.. is just the way i feel. Some of the things i write do reflect those views. I don't mind hard at all Jess, as long as it is honest. which... i believe i have read enough of the things you have commented on and wrote to lead me to believe you are. So, by all means, Honest away!!! Enjoying your comments extremely! (It is a...fluffy poem) ~Tonya

Birds and Butterflies

nimble on the wing forever hold my eye these things of beauty be they science of millenia or Gods creation the summer I hope for sun not the rains One lonely Butterfly I watched and it did not stop in my yard but fluttered as they want to be dissappearing up behind the trees

indeed!

Little creatures with powdered wings flutter freely where they fancy a random exploration of anything bright like a child exploring colorful delights.... Thank you Orgami. I know this traditional style is not one of your favorites. The more so is my pleasure you have stopped to read and leave such lovely comment. Glad you liked my picture of these delicate little beings. ~Tonya
