Final Revelation
So easily deleted
From a temporary existance,
Yet still engraved
Upon the face of your heart.
With bitterness and gall
you have tried
To wash away my image,
But somehow, it still remains.
Just as your memory
Still burns within my mind,
Those words of forever
They never really die.
Becoming lost somewhere
In the chasm of seperation,
Falling between the cracks of time,
That we never seemed able to grasp.
Now your anger at my existance,
Enflames mine...
For the choice you made
I kept my heart caged,
While Love's wings were broken,
And his life slowly drained away.
How could I survive?
While living enclosed in sorrow!
You know my tender heart,
But couldn't understand the love
That seeps from it
When it has no where else to go.
I asked you to change your mind,
For the miserably weak creature that I am,
Had not been brought into full realization,
Of the wounded, bleeding collapse to come.
Where I would take one
last,
desperate,
grasp for your hand.
Only to find in disgust, you'd pull away.
Leaving me face down in my despair...
That's when I knew.
Forgiveness has it's boundaries
Within the human heart,
And there are just some wounds
that will never heal.
From a temporary existance,
Yet still engraved
Upon the face of your heart.
With bitterness and gall
you have tried
To wash away my image,
But somehow, it still remains.
Just as your memory
Still burns within my mind,
Those words of forever
They never really die.
Becoming lost somewhere
In the chasm of seperation,
Falling between the cracks of time,
That we never seemed able to grasp.
Now your anger at my existance,
Enflames mine...
For the choice you made
I kept my heart caged,
While Love's wings were broken,
And his life slowly drained away.
How could I survive?
While living enclosed in sorrow!
You know my tender heart,
But couldn't understand the love
That seeps from it
When it has no where else to go.
I asked you to change your mind,
For the miserably weak creature that I am,
