Waiting for love
The sky stoops low, hung with stone-deaf,protective gargoylescloaked in grey-faced,Easter habits.Their silent, gaping mouthschanting repressed fearswith the dirgesof resurrected past. Spring’s fragile shoots, the tendrils ofhalf- exposed promises, struggle in the gripof frost-choked,white-lipped deceipt,suffocatinghope-seeded groundwhere patience waitsthe budding of thatfragrant, single truth, whose flower he loves,to slip the withering chillof all her winters’ past, and be his everlastingsummer’s bloom.
