Timekeepers Cottage
In this cottage
within the walls
of this house
that isn't square
I made our home
It's name fits me
as I store memories
of you growing
of my own learning
Shared path
Shared home
Shared love
Shared lives
Precious time, we keep you
close to our hearts
locked in our minds
entombed in our souls
deep in our selves
As the day clocks in
the night clocks out
and time moves on
I mark it
I photograph it
I grasp it's straws
so it's etched on us
We're becoming the keepers of time
during this time
a time worth keeping
We reside here
we wonder here
we laugh and cry here
we are
the present
Timekeepers
