Dysfunctional

Ghostly symbols
once adorned this notion,
Bearing love's testament
With solace woven into its fabric.

Dissolved into a broken ring,

Removed...

From not so discreet fingers,
As Judgement resides over broken vows.

No peace is found for victims of lies
As they fall into the wide cracks of Justice,
For hands are unable to catch
with blinded eyes,
As the weak and helpless,
Tumble from the scales of equality,

Into the dust
of a failed,
neglected system.

can't quite....

can't quite get my head around the ghostly symbols. tried but can't figure what you mean. but i like the poem, seems to be saying that if you are poor,or not able that you don't have as many rights as others. that the promise to take care of those who can't,has been broken by the ones who can, because they can.well, that's my perception. tweak away dear girl, and i'm sure that it will make sense to even poor me! perception is seen by those who can see. gee.
