Thor Love

 "Thor-Love"

While lightening flashes

plunging to the earth

her skin alert

her green leaves reaching up

towards the hidden sun

she sighs

in sudden bursts

as winds blow trees about

the birds,

they cease to sing, in awe,

and hasten to their hiding place.

The thunder god,

Thor is his name,

of Nordic myth gave birth

to this great spectacle,

he wields his hammer,

beneath,

the earth begins to throb

in sporadic rythms

reverberating through the hills,

the venus mountain

heaves and rolls

in undulating sensual folds

the rods of fire descend

like golden trees

reversed

with roots in heaven

branches stretched to feed with fire

their hearts desires

The thunder

when the storm moves on

abates

and airbourn drops of water

roam the skies dark canopy,

the sounds and sighs among the trees

die down

and dripping silver-pearls

jump into air

to reach the ground

where waiting leaves and

secret flowers abound

where there they slide down grasses green

to oscillate in coves of shapes unseen

this honeyed moment

quietened

floating

dream-like

and profound

permits the rise of perfumes rich

that permeate the oxygen,

pungent and powerful,

delicate and ephemeral

and all at once

they are the poetry of great lovers

bringing all to just this place

so quiet,

a place we feel is full of grace and beauty

unsurpassed by knowledge,

here,

no,

there ,

where?

In this present calm

so grasped in gasps of strength

that no man can resist its length of ecstasy-

suspense.

Thor

OH !! You 'drama queen' you! you had me all the way through this one! I have watched the earths' green fingers stretching to meet the 'thunder god' more than once. 'Thor' is a handsome god that strikes the mountain tops here amongst the Adirondack mountains. i've seen his majestic displays many times. his hammer 'Molinar' [think it's spelled that way] showers lightning all over the dark green pines. great write! beauty is a matter of perception. gee.

Your name makes me think of Papageno in Mozart's "Magic Flute", I expect others will think of less romantic people. You also look like a sensitive man and show yourself to be just that, by liking my poem pap. You are welcome, and I am happy to receive your joy on reading this piece, that would have been my original intention, to move, to provoke images of gods, thunder and lovers at the same time. It was written inspired by my loving. Maybe you will write us a thunder poem from your home as it would not be the god Thor (in Norway pronounced Toorrr), but some other god of thunder, who is he? I also always remember the first time I heard Beethoven's "Pastoral Symphony" and the wonderful drum rolls of the thunder there, far more splendid than my poem I think, and the quiet after the thunder, he got it just right too, do you know his music pap? Thank you pap from Ann of Norway

Magic flute, i'll check that out, it must be interesting, yeah i am a bit sensitive, there are certain things that urges me so, especially the past experience, but well, the past has brewed me to be what i am today, i guess, and i shouldn't complain. Haha-ha, a thunder poem, sure i can do that, but the first thing is to read more of the stuff linked to this, especially your poem, i would create an awesome one--but i've got this, it's almost linked--The fall of Messa's, great knight, i would like you to have a look and feel free to adjudt me in any way. Beethoven, i've heard a litlle about his, an awesome remarkable composer who knew nature almost to the fullest, i'll check more about him on the wikipedia. Pleasant nights and good days
