Hearing through the walls.

Through these paper thin walls,
I can hear anything you contemplate,
Anything you debate or desecrate,
Anything you conceal
that could be ideal or surreal
And all these things I hear... I reflect upon.
I can now write stories and fables,
Extraordinary tales,
Never neglecting the vivid details.
They fuel my thoughts or feelings,
what ever my pen will feed on.
I listen closely,
most intensely,
intently,
waiting for just a whisper.
Coincidentally the chatter has begun,
Regale me with a tale
or even just a pun,
Furnish me with words
I can use to form a rhyme,
An anecdote ,
a phrase,
Or anything I can combine.
See, I have an expectation,
to reach a destination,
Far from deprivation,
desperation and decline,
Where I can prosper with my creations,
Fascinations,
inspirations and refine,
And so with concentration,
I press my ear harder
Against the walls of my imagination... and say:
"Make me divine, if you should find the time."
And one day it'll help me find a way.

What lovely assonance!

Loved the flow of every sounding/rhyming word! Is this Voyeuristic? Or the thin lining of membrane between conscious and brain and thought (like talking to ourselves) I suppose, either way, it works! I like the idea of voyeurs though, I think! We gain a lot by watching and listening to other people. Observation is Usually a big factor in our craft. Love the search, the creation and building… expectations. Okay, I’ll hush now and just say It WAS DAMN GOOD! Always Sincere, Tonya oh, oh... liked the stress on the words too, like punches! (if that makes sense. like..spoken word)

thanks tonya!

Hey nah its not voyeuristic haha I see imagination as a locked room inside our brains. Sometime you have the key sometimes you have to try and force it. Yet I agree with your observation on observing :p I do like to sit back and observe...one of my fav passtimes. Thanks again for you comment and as always flattery haha Bosscombat
