The Man with No Tongue. Pt. 1
Imprisonment
He refuses to abide with the world.
Hasn't slept with his eyes closed in years,
Nor in that time has he:
felt the piercing glow,
heard the unmistakable crackle,
or seen the dancing tongues of fire.
The man understandably,
has unreasonable fears
All which make him stronger,
make him... fly higher.
A man... who once spoke his mind.
He Spoke the raw truth, unfiltered, unrefined,
Didn't care who was listening,
He was Loud, proud and brutally literal.
Flaunting his knowledge and opinion,
now can't utter another syllable.
Scapegoat, the man was made an example
For those future minds
that let their mouths be led astray.
They held open his jaw, cut out his tongue
and hurled it carelessly into the ashtray.
For what seemed an eternity
Within 4 dirty walls was only a bucket,
There was no breeze... but he felt it
There was no thunder... although he heard it
He saw lightening, but couldn't see the sky
It forever rained, but it never touched his skin.
So many tears, but now he can't cry.
He refuses to abide with the world.
Hasn't slept with his eyes closed in years,
Nor in that time has he:
felt the piercing glow,
heard the unmistakable crackle,
or seen the dancing tongues of fire.
The man understandably,
has unreasonable fears
All which make him stronger,
make him... fly higher.
A man... who once spoke his mind.
He Spoke the raw truth, unfiltered, unrefined,
Didn't care who was listening,

So many tears, but now he can't cry.
