Garden at twilight
Flowers bowers rose-trees tall
secret garden, tip toe trull
perfumes dizzying the air
leaf mould sweet beneath them there
round the corner blaze of colour
poenies red like cups of wine
inviting you to come and dine
from the climbing twisting vine
hanging moose-droppings of jade
creating delicate dappled shade
by the stream and scented glade
when did I get all this right
over-glorious, wild delight
In the mysteries of night.
