dichotomy

joyous sun appeared today
long-lost exuberant visitor
infectious optimism her gift
the towels danced her spring-song
surging to meet her
as pretty young robins
ripe with pastel eggs
burst forth with life's devotion

fog-lost moon now controls the night
my jaw clenched to quell my chattering teeth
fingers chilled and aching
my mood as blue as stone cold nail beds
"type" i keep telling myself
don't look
don't listen
ignore him

through the glass door to my right
he is watching me
maestro of darkness, he is patient
i feel him
waiting
watching
wanting
drawing me closer
pulling me away

Hello my fellow Canadian!!!! Great to see your poetry, I soooo know this chill...you wouldn't happen to be out west where I'm at would you? lol. Anyhoo, I must agree with Orgami, makes me want to get to the nearest Tim Horton`s and take in a good coffee, may be a hot smoothie ot cafe mocha...ooooooo nice! Nothing better to shake our cold winters. Awesome first posting! Keep it up! I`d like to see more of your stuff! Peace N Love Katie Go Live & Get Rewarded

thanks, katie and

thanks, katie and orgami... i just couldn't believe how a beautiful, sunny, warm(ish), loud, busy day could turn into such a dark void with that crazy full moon staring at me! just when i think spring is finally entrenched, that chill comes back to haunt me.
