Let There Be Light

Let There Be Light

And He said
"Let there be light!"
And light covered
the face of the world
And the world was good
And He said
"Thou hast sinned!"
And fire covered
the face of the world
Furnace hot it was
And all turned to ashes
as the bacteria died

In Orgami's comment on Charade he mentioned
Viruses that cycle and that gave me the idea fo this.
Thanks Orgami and yes, I know, I'm weird.

Rett

I was happily reading along, and then it felt like I fell off a cliff; made me say "and??" I think there's a little room for expansion, but I really like what's on there so far. Remember, though, that matter can not be created nor destroyed, only transformed. That might be a good direction to take this poem in if you decide to lengthen it. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- -"You can be a dreamer, you can be your dreams come true. Just let imagination lead, reality will follow through." - Michael Hedges

And the bacteria died, and, and...then what. God says let Rett's weirdness continue, He's looking for the next chapter also. God loves good poetry too, you know. Linda

I’m waiting for the

I'm waiting for the enzymes to rhyme. ;-) ~A "We have to try to get rid of the notion of time. And when you have an intense contact of love with nature or another human being, like a spark, then you understand that there is no time and that everything is eternal." Paulo Coelho

And God loves bacteria too

They have just as much right to live as we do, in fact without them we would not live, as many of the 'friendly' ones are inside us helping our every move, our digestive system would be lost without them, to name an important one. Perhaps it is here I should post my Easter poem, dare I Rett? Ok I dare:- How quiet it is its Easter time and tears of Jesus fall as rain, no longer frozen, hidden, bright but lauded, blamed and crucified, and to the earth, its thaw procured, it rises yet again renewed and blesses every plant and tree for rebirth and to set them free. Not being of religious ilk I don't believe the Virgin's milk can save our souls from getting old and send them to another world its all a tale that must end up as common dust. Now I ended up with dust which is a 'little' more 'biblical' than the bacteria. What? Ann of Norway

Hmmmmmmmm….

You know, it is short, and perhaps I am missing much. But I get the feeling WE are meant as the bacteria… lol, yes humans and for our Sinning, maybe be destroyed? If that be the case, maybe ‘nuff said! And very well done at that. Always Sincere, Tonya
