Fallen Soldiers

Fallen Soldiers  How many fields have been forgottenWhere brave and valiant warriors layDo roses or wild flowers growTo mark these lonely graves Or are they covered by thorns and briarsReminders of those blackened daysSymbols of fear and painThat has led good men astray For whatever reason these souls have fallenLet not their lives be vainly takenThink! Oh leaders of the landsLest your decisions be mistaken I can not tell you what is always rightNor all actions for cause amiss;Without battle to stop a tyrantThen from his cup, we also sip Cheer the brave; toast their honorFor better times they have foughtBow your heads and pray for peaceIs with their blood our futures bought

Thank you so much Johan,

Thank you so much Johan, both of my sons are now enlisted in the Army. One has done a previous 4 years service in the Marines and is trying a differnt branch on. I worry for them and am proud of them at the same time. I appreciate your time to read and respond and your understanding. God Bless Always Sincere, Tonya
