The Moon and Sun
The dawn re-appears and aims it's slicing colors and sharp hues
towards the execution and demise of the moon,
for simply trying to imitate it's brilliance.
The Sun means not, to be harsh...but their differences are,
like Night and Day.....but, it's too bad, for the Moon
as it tries different sizes and angles,
but it's light cannot compare to that of the Sun's.
It is really quite unfair, for the Moon doesn't own much light at all;
and so, I feel sorrow for the Moon, and it's failures.
For, it is I who resembles the Moon,
and cannot compare because my light constantly "flickers",
like a candle in the wake of a passerby.
For, I am all three...the candle, the flickering flame, and the passerby
because, I am but a pedestrian compared to you,
and I die just a little when I'm allowed to see your light.
However, I also do see my flame growing,
making up for things slowly but surely;
for, this much I know 'ti's true, I am the Moon.....but you my dear, are the Sun.
towards the execution and demise of the moon,
for simply trying to imitate it's brilliance.
The Sun means not, to be harsh...but their differences are,
like Night and Day.....but, it's too bad, for the Moon
as it tries different sizes and angles,
but it's light cannot compare to that of the Sun's.
It is really quite unfair, for the Moon doesn't own much light at all;
and so, I feel sorrow for the Moon, and it's failures.
For, it is I who resembles the Moon,
and cannot compare because my light constantly "flickers",
like a candle in the wake of a passerby.
For, I am all three...the candle, the flickering flame, and the passerby
