Two Shed Tears

I breathe in ever so deeply
so as to accept  the day
gently, and only for itself.

But I am at a loss.
For the day breaks Grand,
and my lungs could suffocate from it's brilliance.

However, I'm in a "safe-zone"
and even I know to expect nothing
but the glory of the day.

But it may be appareled with a price
and it's affordability may require,
a price-tag too healthy to consider.

So now, I take in the afternoon's aroma
while savoring each and every ray it has to offer,
and lazily...I blink towards it's demise.

For the Sun always goes down at Curtain Call,
leaving the shadows to sweep up the day,
closing the afternoon's matinees Marque;

and I'm refreshed with the excitement of completion,
and as one eye burns a tear for the fading day.....
the other eye sheds one for the joy of tomorrow.
