conflict

at night when the still is visible
and i bank fluorescent tears,
my heart bathe in blissless grace,
while i page the angry years

at night when the blanket covers
the indifference of the day,
we muse and we ponder
how we the day can slay

at night a dream in wander
find me in feeble sleep
and in a frantic moment
my psyche mount to steep

at night i hide my spirit
to disguise a conflict'd mind
and mull over Jove
and all the negations that bind

at dawn i lay my bidding
on the altar's tablet of clay
and watch the sun's face smiling
gently, with each burst of ray

I like this one, there are a few small things to do in the way of flow but will let you find them and sort, You take care out there, Last time I saw Table mountain the table cloth was at the bottom and the mountain was just poking through there, it's a beautiful place you have there so look after it and yourself, Yours Ian.T

I love this opening line

I love this opening line and How you describe the time of evening, when the wind dies down and the sun seeks it’s rest. Is perfect for reflection on all the things that have transpired during the day. Night, our solace, our tormenter. Our solitary friend we talk to and hash out worry with. Is best when it allows us to lay aside our worry and find rest in its arms. Not always the case (when we continue to toss and turn) but then comes a new day, new possibility, new hope to cope with all that may come when light picks up its space. A prayer to guide us and extend its Grace as we face new trials. I hope that made sense.. great write, Again you have touched a chord in my melody. Always Sincere, Tonya

Love the ...

overarching gentleness of this piece. Reflects you well. Clever wordages swell with meaning(s), as in "bank fluorescent tears," "page the angry years," "at night when the blanket covers/the indifference of the day." Thanx, Chuck

Your Mountain, The giant that cloaks itself and watches over the earth people as they scurry about. It cries you know for all those lost souls that have gone before, and it watches over those that have promises yet to be. I will leave the rest to you as you are there at this moment and each moment is unique unto it's own memories, Yours Ian.T
