queen of all evil

oh, queen  of all evil, look upon my face,
take my pulse and feel my brow,
and heart-break , is what you will see.

if you believe that you have won, this... our little race,
feel my heart pounding now,
please dear lord,.....deliver me.

you are memories of the past,
heart is hurting, eyes are burning,
you are dreams of what could be.

but , my spirit's gonna last,
and although my heart is yearning,
your soul is too black for me.

i will always strive,
there is no retreat,
i will finish what i have begun.

your memory kept alive,
your fate is defeat,
i will drag your hide out in the sun.

then the queens name is past,
though she is mighty fast,
here comes the son,..... at last!

Nice one Geezer. I found it

Nice one Geezer. I found it obvious to be about two people, hard to think it could be just about one. It's a little hard to decipher exactly what it's about, but in saying that it is also well written. I love the title, it captured my eyes right away. I found my self a little hanging at the ending, didn't really feel the whole conclusion to this. Maybe it's just me, I am easily confused. LOL. but , my spirit’s gonna last, and although my heart is yearning, your soul is too black for me. Love this verse. It says the experience has made you stronger, and you don't need the black soul in your life. You certainly don't, my friend, as you're much too nice a soul to have that corrupting your kind ways. All in all, Gee, a good write, as always. Rock on! Peace and Love Katie

"Drag your hide out in the sun"

Oh great stuff Geezer, here you are passionate and revengeful. I will turn-a-blind-eye to the few bits of punctuation... A lovely fencing-like rhythm, riposting and plunging the sword as you dance in your reluctant freedom, that is so expressive, I enjoyed this poem, and was it a son...? Yours Ann of Norway

it is the son

my friends' car is a 72 chevy nova, that we named the 'queen of all evil', for two reasons. we were brain-storming for a name for the car, and named it for one of his friends' daughter. who we nicknamed the 'queen of all evil'. she is fifteen yrs. old, and a real trial to her mother.[single parent] the daughter has to be told to do everything twice. we have had to do almost everything on the car twice. the car is a project that my friend and his son started, his son was killed in a house fire.[he was nine yrs.old] my friend has continued to work on the car. [i help where i can.] i hope that the mom will be able to [win the race] if she can put her foot down, or maybe where it belongs, and that my friend will get satisfaction with finishing the car, and be able to get some peace over his sons' death. [here comes the son].

Awesome

Wow, I love it. Yes the two Queens are very much alike in that respect, and I think both of us are winning our respective races. You never cease to amaze me

hey gee

thank you for your comments. my 2nd wife i called the 'queen of hearts' because she was very militant and always favored the most extreme punishment for any offence. hence the 'queen of hearts' from 'alice in wonderland'. so glad you liked the title, and the fact it kept your interest throughout. would like to add you to my buddy-list,if i may. beauty is a matter of perspective. gee
