She dances among waltzing words

Whispers secrets on the screen

She wanders through the wildwood forests

weaving words of where she’s been

She gives it out so full of heart

So full of mirth and care

She photographs the morning sky

and shows me visions there

She listens for the blackbird song

The first she hears in spring

She works with children bringing joy

The best  joy one could bring

She folds and cuts the paper

and a masterpiece revealed

And placed upon the children’s heads

The dream is less concealed

A dryad, she’s a forest nymph

Daphne comes to mind

She’s lived a million brilliant loves

Well loved, for she is kind

She reaches from her distant land

With frolicsome intent

A wonder in a woman’s frame

A goddess, human sent

Her image sends me always

To think of ageless figureheads

Riding noble, carven

Far above the ocean beds

So step so gently in the forest

do not dare to harm a tree

You may see a soft leaf flicker

Is it our Ann as she slips free?

So here’s to Ann of Norway

The darling of the tribe

The queen, so unassuming

Who spreads such bright warm vibe!

Oh dear Anni

You have been and gone and done it here! What words can I express to this your fine address, so eloquent, so o'er the top, so wow I don't know how to stop in praise of you, and quietly wonder how the new folk will construe this laudatory claim to "fame" so warmly given by the mistress of our dreams it seems she sends us into realms unseen, with nymphs and sirens spreading joys to dance to with her lines of poetry that pour upon our pages and fill our lives with personages koalas shells and ...........? and now "I'm up a gum tree" with a view of sea and sky, and you and I, and all the poets on this site all trying hard to make it right with all their might and out of sight just photographs of faces we love you all your Graces.

Ode to all of you... to be continued

Rolling laughter & chuckles my dear one, how could I not, you threw down the gauntlet (more laughter) with your lovely poem for me. I think we need not fret what anyone should think, surely folk on this site are bigger than to find petty insult in such a fun inspired piece... Here you see the wicked me returning to the screen, with heart more healed, now cheek revealed, some inner truths come clean for you dear Ann of Norway, so helped to soothe my bruises I had to do an ode to you, apologies if it confuses Of course I feel for others too, who wove there lovely words & gave me wings with care that sings, these lovely Neo birds Not least I thank Orgami, with my admiration jewelled whose words comes swirling etherly & sent me strength when I felt fooled & Faery Beki, darling thing, I wrote a song or two what a sweet soul, helped make me whole when I felt somewhat blue & later, feathered Geezer came flying in my sky & offered naught but good strong care in rhymes that weave & fly I'd have to mention Stella, & Kristeta in their brilliance whose words gave me respite & kin, strengthened my resilliance & Arrow's wise precision, & poetry of heart such clear & clean ability to transform words to art Barbsdad with his winter words, so cool, they soothed my burns Race9togo with brilliant prose, each one who reads has much to learn Inkdragon, succinct & functional, reached out with steadied hand to tweek the technique fluidly so all may understand Ahh & not the least the vampire girl, Kelsey's firey twirly grace such wisdom & such brilliance in one with such young face Katie, Cathy & Professor all who offered much & Ginny, with such whimsy words sent forth, our hearts to touch Even dear Proprietress though not direct to me her words float on my screen at times & I find harmony I have to go to travel now, but there are more to list how gorgeous, Ann, that we are blessed, & sweetly, wordly kissed! It's my wee thank you, I know it's indulgent, but everyone must know now I am a gusher... I have to be, it's what gives me meaning to find the best in others & acknowledge it & there is so much good here, & I am as I often say, so very grateful... I shall continue the list Monday or Tuesday, gotta drive 3 hours to meet my scientist & his Gautamalan children in the beautiful rocks & forest of Halls gap... I will hug rocks & admire trees & birds for you. xxx PS Ann, your poem in response is brilliant... it seems I am doomed to inspire better poetry in the responses I receive than I post in the first place... & I love it!!! Hi Bek, I am stuffed, but am

Hi Bek, I am stuffed, but am determined to catch up before I post any more... I have written a response to your priv post, & will post it shortly, but realised I had not responded to this one... The rocks were not so easily haggable, some, just pull it from you - these were the kind that invited climbing & perching upon mostly... but the waterfall over the huge rock face was extraordinary (you know... I don't think I got a picture of it!!!! Just sat & loved it for ages. Was a good fun day. Yes, yay for gushing - waterfalls of it eh! xxx Anni "Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there. Anni, soo glad you had a

Anni, soo glad you had a great day, if you sat there and loved that waterfall for ages you will always have a picture of it! :) and I sooo know what you mean about the rocks pulling hugs from you! They seem to absorb as much energy as they give out, such give and take :) You don't need to reply to every comment I make, but I understand your desire to, I feel the same, the dialogue that is had around these poems has become as important to me as the poems themselves. So glad you liked my own gushing recently :) much love b xxx

Anni, truly, really, there

Anni, truly, really, there is an Anna of Ohio & an Ann(a) of Norway... Just as there is an Anni from Clouds-Things. ;-) It does get to be a spectacular spectacle, whe all the identities morph into One... I like when that happens! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFWPeVfWB9o One---U2 Yours In Love, Anna

In any case, I am glad to be part of the Ann clan now!

Hah, this is one of the covers I do occassionally with one of my collaborations ("One", I mean, there is a great version with Mary J Blige singing with a great deal of passion), but espite the nice conceptual sense of it, in tuth the message is not one of unity so much as romantic unrest... ahh well. In any case, I am glad to be part of the Ann clan now! I get various versions, as most of us do in our lives, in some circles I am still known as "Anni Fanni" or just "Fanni". rude I think in US, & possibly moreso here in some circles Anni "Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. Ach wheel

I am half Scottish of Edinburgh and Orkney vintage, so clan fits although I believe its the Stuart clan my family 'belongs' to, my sister having to change hers to the noble Cameron's on marrying one Donald (Chief) from that clan. I like to think that I belong to the clan of all the peoples of the world, all of one origin and equal in importance, I feel like a human being on the earth and only discriminate those who discriminate others. Hello Aborigine Australians I salute you with love from Ann of Norway.

Cultural definitions - Fanni, bum, butt & other bits!

Heh, well, it's not so bad if you don't mind being called the polite version of "butt" (over here we refer to that as our "bum") & moreso, over here Fanny can refer to the female genitalia... my beautiful friend Charan just likes to be a subversive thing & still I am known in those circles as Fanni, I love it actually, it's the rebel in ME too, sets up a few snickering cycles at parties etc. though. Sometimes I get "Anni Fanni with the frangipani fanny" chuckle... did I really expose such silliness on this forum... how old am I? Hope your study went well Kelsy was crossing fingies for you. xxx Anni "Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there. Anni,

I can´t believe I missed this one! You´ve not only written a wonderful tribute to my dear Ann, the lady who would bleed poetry if someone would be unkind enough to cut her, but also written a tribute to all of Neopoet in your comments. Thank you, Anni! Yours, ~Nina “Like plumbers and dentists, poets are fallible, and the possibility of genuine nonsense cannot be ruled out.” (Mark Haddon)

Dear Ann - I am glad we all recognise her brightness & her glow.

Yes, she is the diamond for me, isn't she brilliant & whimsically wonderful?!!! Rhetorical of course. Ann was my succour in a terrible time, gently unconditionally & without getting tangled in the drama, she walked with me with her brilliant words & images, her history & her wonder & saw me to the sunrise on the other side of grief... & I doubt she even knows it, but I adore her for that & a million other things. I am glad we all recognise her brightness & her glow. As for the tributes, I know I left some out & I hope they might forgive me, I am yet to discover the brilliance of some here, & have recently discovered others I had not even been aware of when writing that. I love this place for it's tolerance & it's brilliance of skill & generosity & everyone who gives so much with so much heart & mindful reflection. Thanks Nina, you are, of course, among these great writers I so admire & am so grateful to. Anni "Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there.
