Midway to Nowhere

'I was born half alive,
the other half partly insane
.'
she dribbles inaudibly,
grinning coquettishly;

and between,
there is no apology.

Even the deaf can fathom
underhanded effrontery.
She however, will not brandish fangs
without syrup.

This really grabbed my attention

Love the images, the word choice, the esoteric sense and the brevity. The last two lines "She however, will not brandish fangs without syrup." really entice me. I know I mentioned liking the brevity but I'd love to see more, as this style is right up my alley...

Thanks

Glad to have hit a spot. I will endeavour to keep this style current in my writing.
