i love my grampa

grampa loves animals, 'specially the dogs.
he works hard on weekends, thru rain and snow and fogs,

grampa drives a taxi-car,
he tells tales, of near and far.

he loves his family, all his heart.
he loves me too......i am part !

i beat grampa.......on the video-games,
says so what?... calls me silly names.

i help grampa,..... be a poet.
we work on it,... then we show it!

dollar-tree,  buy plastic swords,
toy noisey guns,  then we have wars.

us and "dancer" go chasing rabbits,
library-books,...... one of our habits.

we sometimes do, disagree and he makes me mad.
but he always, cheers me up,... when i'm feeling sad.

tomorrow, we go biking, and we're flying kites,
all i know,  i am liking,... when he hugs goodnight.

i love my grampa.....

i loved it jason and geezer

we think it's great that you loved it! yes, we do work well together. jason gives me an outline of what he thinks the poem should say, and it's up to me to work it out. most times i either add something or try to turn it around so that it fits. we are planning on publishing a book of our poetry when we feel we have enough.if it were up to jason, we would post a newie every day. he is full of ideas. would be great to be on 'oprah' maybe we could get on her book of the month list! thanks again, geezer and jason.

Awwwwww!!!!!

This was a warm and touching poem. Made me grin all over! ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- -"The truth is, it doesn't matter what you do. 'Til you gaze in that mirror with an eye that's true. And admit that what scares you is the me in you..." - Steve Earle

hey there

Hi Gee, just wanted to say what a lovely poem. It reflects the precious times we share together as families, and the bonds we form with the next generation. Nice work indeed. Kind Regards Al.
