WE ALL WALK TOGETHER

As I walk there are so many people, that I meet?

Their eyes show a window with a soul with hopeless feeling of free

So much sadness in their world

Why do they look down and not at me

How can I just walk by

When I feel the same pain inside

As we walk by

Every one of them seems to walk with pride

And with every foot step is a false motion in their stride

Leaves  the imprint from the pain

From all the mistakes in life  they have made

Why should I let their sorrow inter my life?

When my on soul

Is not in my mind

Moreover, every day

There is a new problem in my life

For my love was tested time after time

It would be so much safer to walk away

 And deal with only me

However, will I leave a part of my life that I need

And will my soul be left behind

Just like the eyes that are sad so much like mys

Was the world meant to live this way

All of our pains are just the same

We all walk with in this time

When will we know the only safety is a love that binds?

Press...

I like the handle, it probably doesn't mean to you what it does to me, but I worked as a printer for most of my life, so a "press" to me can be a very satisfying experience... I love the view expressed within this write you've submitted here for us to read... to be honest, the flow is off in much of it and it seems to me that you were going for a certain rhythm. With a bit of tightening up I feel the rhythm could be accomplished and you would have an eloquent poem that falls right off the tongue. Please do jump in and comment and read the other poems here, I can see you have the need to write... it is shared by all of us gathered here... and like in your poem, we are in this thing together here and now...
