Anni's poem

In the calm of a Winter's morning, bland and white

this little pale-feeling memory, makes the sky bright

and lights up the quiet feelings again

like the smell of the Autumn leaves in mornings rain.

With this I identify, singing along,

you have taken me with you, your beautiful song.

And memories linger to soothe you just now

when you're painfully weak and your head takes a bow

but there in your heart is the strength that you gained

so it won't be so long till your love is reclaimed

the fires died down in the forests nearby

but the phoenix will rise again, sing your song high

all the world will be bright again, look at the sky!

Your friend Ann writes straight down here as I eat my

breakfast and look out of the window at the day. With love.

Inspired by Anni's poem which turned out not to be about herself.

Hey Ann, As always, I love

Hey Ann, As always, I love this poem. The beginning reminds me of a silent, calm cold winter morning here in Canada, snow bright and untouched. Also inspirational, the second verse. Looking to the skies instead of the ground is simple, yet makes you smile more than looking down does! Peace and Love Katie

anni's poem

i loved the poem and the way it just rolls off your tongue its calming and sad, but at the same time it induces happy memories of snowy mornings and that moment of waking up and seeing everything white outside before you remember the implications of it I enjoyed reading it very much and actually wished there was more.

Regardless of who it's about, it is really so beautiful

Ann, my goodness I should have known you'd be so prollific, I went to catch up with your latest & here I find this extraordinary work. (I am chuckling with incredulity, but also feel shameful it took me so long to get to see this!). You amazing woman, what a beautiful poem & the biggest honour I can imagine, to have such a lovely piece of work inspired by my own work (Oh how I love this reciprocal interaction, I must tell you my wonderful tree nymph, I have written a couple inspired by your amazing being, I shall have to post one soon... Bless you beautiful woman... you guys seem hell bent on making me weep with gratitude daily!!! Regardless of who it's about, it is really so beautiful, so beautifully written Ann I feel dazed by it... want to print it out & put it on my wall along with your exquisite photographs. Part of that poem was about me (oh, depends which one I guess?) mostly they are at some level I suspect with all of us. How I love your writing Ann. Thank you so much - such a gift dear friend. I adore you more everything I read of you. With huge love & apreciation. Anni "Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about ideas, language, and even the phrase, "each other" doesn't make any sense."

Thank you Anni

I think I had better say that and not leave you in the air as you know I appreciate all you write both to me and at all. Anni with the clouds on fire. I think you are a special person and the Australians should be proud of you as they probably already are? Your friend Ann

Clouds of fire warming & passionate, god the sky was divine thsa

Been away & will be more, but quickly squeezing some time in. Dearest Ann, how lucky I am to count you as friend I feel the same of you... anyone in the world who is touched by you is blessed. My friend showed me some photo's of our recent fires here, they were clouds of fire indeed, though they looked so exquisite, as clouds always do to me... Even my son pointed out how beautiful they were, & the irony of that. She said she would send me copies, I will post when they come, great pictures, she's a great woman too. Be well, dear one, I hve visitors from far away here at the moment, it's lovely & festive, such happy times... mmm love holidays... We went to a butterfly sanctuary nearby today & it was so lovely. Anni's poem

Hi Anni, You short poem was able to conjure up images in my mind, isn't this is what poetry should do? I like the line, like the smell of the Autumn leaves in mornings rain, I could almost smell them myself! Baz

don't want to take credit for this lovely write! Ann is so deser

Hi Baz... this is the confusion of the "Ann clan"! You meant to address that to Ann, who wrote this lovely piece for me (blush, squirm, glow!)... she is such a wonderful wordsmith is she not?! Sorry all the Ann-ness gets so confusing, some people just call me "Cloud" & Ann is known as "Ann of Norway", (I think something from Proprietess of crimson hearts?). I just don't want to take credit for this lovely write! Ann is so deserving. Anni "Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there.
