I

A TRIBUTE TO A VERY SPECIAL MOTHER .

A person dear ,yet very small not even 5ft tall,
And yet you made us feel wanted, precious, and irreplaceable.
Even when we acted like some ,silly fool,
As our Mother you brought us endless joys with your strength ,and wisdom ,
given  freely to your girls and boys.

Dear Mother we thank you for your kindness, and patience, all ways their  as
                     we entered through your door.
As our Mother you loved us,even when we were unlovable ,
even when i had to leave you ,as i moved quite unforgivable .

Dear Mother i miss so our little chats on my telephone ,
The gossip and your laughter ,and sometimes your telling of tone .
How i  miss seeing you ,sitting in your bed ,rapped in your woolen shawl ,
Smelling of lavender and looking so small .

I also remember our bad days ,when you stood before a near em ply cupboard,
and we would hear you say ,
Let me see love , what can we have today ,milk and eggs meant a pancake ,
no food meant a story until we ,could no longer stay awake.

Mother i remember to ,when i was very small and afraid of the dark ,
You would make hand puppets on our wall,to make me laugh .
A   Mothers love is their ,as free as the air ,
yet one day  when it has  gone ,life was so hard to bare .

As dear Mother  you have  fallen forever a sleep ,
i know  you would not want for me to weep .
One day i know we will be together again ,
Then i know i will no longer fill this pain .

R.I.P.

I am sorry to hear your mother died... May she rest in piece i really like your poem, although like might not be an adequate word, I hope you get it the right way. I am touched by your ability to describe this unconditional love between a mother and her child. You really made me feel this love with your words, I highly appreciated reading this text, plus I thank you for sharing this piece of you with me and others.... best regards, michael ps: well, i do not know whether or not she is lucky to be loved by me, all i know is that 5 weeks ago, after 7 years she decided she didn't want my love anymore.... anyways, thanks for your comment, i'll upload some new writings soon.... in the meantime I'll read a little more of yours
