Sonnet For War

When did noise wreak havoc on sanity?Like a thousand flutes played out of tune
In high notes to bring 'bout calamity
Perhaps it'll not be long before doomTo a war-torn country across the sea
Where love is a dream most consider vile
Here, most people choose who they want to be
Unknowing, we fret about the color of tile
Our congress argues mortality, why?For a war barely no one supports
They bomb innocents and children cry
They shoot the fathers for smart-alik retorts
Confined to this, I wonder how they feel
These children's nightmares must seem very real

Well.

It's a sonnet, I was supposed to have only ten syllables in each line. It has really no offense to the muslims and iraqis, for so many of their innocents have to die for what our congress decides. Thank you for your comment, Phoenix.

On the other line

You don't see in the news how maybe some Iraqis are pleging their love to one another, forgive me if that sounds harsh but I'm going by our newscast propaganda. Maybe they're wrong, maybe they're right. From what I've read, the war is as gruesome as ever. Maybe not so much chastisement, but still. Innocents die for what the governments decide. It's sad. I too am sort of doubtful of Obama

I thought he'd make the economy better, we are failing worse than ever. But atleast its not like the great depression. The world is crazy. I can't say I'm physically sick of this war, but I am mentally. Ever so, it hurts to see that children get killed there too.. I am also hoping that there are others like myself, cause in my class, it looks like no one cares. People around here think their lives are so bad, but I watch the newscasts, read the papers, it could be worse. Little changes. The governments are stubborn. Childish if you will. Us humans are such cynnical creatures. Phoenix.
