Consequence Of Your Conceit

You're like a horse that has blinders on
Perfectly content to not see the whole picture
and make up your existence along the way
as you feel it should look.
Some imagination is ok
but you live in a world of disillusioned
unreal
mule-stubborned ignorance

You leave burnt ears
puzzled looks
and jaws agape on the floor
all due to the venom spewing forth
from your unintelligible mouth
as you press forward

You're only separated from the truly blind
because they can't help theirs.
Look at yourself in the mirror
and parrot your rhetoric to it
when it deflects off, and poisons you
maybe you will learn
burn
and become our antidote

Like the title. The rhythm is good, quite unique to me. You caught this person really well, I know more than a few of this sort at work, but not too many socially, because I flee when they approach! lol Respectfully Jim "Laws and rules don't kill freedom: narrow-minded intolerance does" : Race

I know one person that this is so appropriate for. I'd hate to be on he receiving end of this poem. You did well in portraying pure venom Mom
