Feeding on Misery (from chat)

Feeding on Misery

Tiny tears that I've cried
Tiny lies that I’ve lied
Tiny cracks that I hide
From my towering pride
Tiny seconds now flown by
Tiny thoughts that now die

Regrets soon coming after
If I only heard the laughter
I would not have to
Resign myself to cry

My thanks to Tink, Katie, Sydney and Tonya in chat who helped me iron out the kinks.
The subject was "If I... poems. This particular one was "If I only heard the laughter".

Thank you very much. Glad you liked it. Let me see if I can help here on the time. One the nights they are held it is 9:00Pm Eastern which makes it 8:00PM Central, 7:00PM Mountain and 6:00PM on the West coast. Does that help? In other words whatever time is set for the chat it is 3 hours earlier on the West coast or Pacific Time. Respectfully, Rett: "Next time you think you're perfect, walk on water." Hey Rett.. I think you an excellent writer! I really like the top stanza. It reminds me of all the little things we do, adding up till the cup of regret is full! I feel the ending is..abrupt, maybe..? 'Regrets soon coming after If I only heard the laughter I wouldn’t have to cry' just the last line.. ' I wouldn't have to cry' maybe.. 'i would not have to resign myself to cry'....? like..giving in.. lol, haven't meant to harp on this. Like i said, just one opinion. Always Sincere, Tonya
