The Brain

Oh brain so brainy be, when all the rest is just at sea

Our mighty wisdom charges round the bloodstream

Lungs and heart combine to show us what?

That all we know is little yet and soon we make it blot

This life's a wonder is it not, or was it just a dream?

We pick things up we put them down

We dash about from field to town

Our brain what does it see in us

It only tries to call your bluff

And ceasing, tries to drown.

What good all knowledge of the stars

Or knowledge of the Earth we have no choice

It isn't ours to to ponder or discuss

It stands its trials and harbours files

But in the end its all a fuss -  its life expires.

the brain

sometimes my brain is a different enity, something not akin to me. it chooses not to let me see, the path to walk, to get me free. oh, introspection.... where are thee? A.H. you are such an inspiration, i can see the thoughts running wildly, fast. i'm not sure what flies on past, i just know they, an impression, last. gee.

Ann, have just got to you

Ann, have just got to you my dear and you have got to me!! your poetry seems to raise fundamental philisophical questions for me and it has such warmth and a sense of mischieviousness as well as great beauty, all this comes forth from your pen!! much love b x

Faerybeki, how well

Faerybeki how well you read me, it sounds just what I should call myself too, the sense of humour making up a little for the sometimes romantic subjects, but I do not call myself just a romantic, as I see the world in a very realistic visual manner. Thank you for finding me and thereby helping me find you, you faery beck on the lee, where Old Sarah and Stone Henge, and all sorts of magic things have been weaving fantasies for modern scientists, so as to keep them from being complacently 'SCIENTIFIC' without the spice of the romantic!! Rather a sentence, you know what I mean, you fellow British citizen. have a good day from Ann of Norway
