love-junkie
admittedly,
I am
a love-junkie,
give me a sky to behold
and I'll turn it into a page
of words
aching
for the wonder
of You,
give me a word to brush-off
like a painted desert
and I am free to roam
the landscape of time
immemorial
between the arc of light,
bent with recognition
give me Your hand to hold
and Your lips to kiss, and I'll
dream away the rest of my life
in the way silk and honey slide
down
like euphoria
on a lover's breast.
I am
a love-junkie,
give me a sky to behold
and I'll turn it into a page
of words
aching
for the wonder
of You,
give me a word to brush-off
like a painted desert
and I am free to roam
the landscape of time
immemorial
between the arc of light,
bent with recognition
give me Your hand to hold
and Your lips to kiss, and I'll
dream away the rest of my life
in the way silk and honey slide
down
like euphoria
on a lover's breast.
