Facetted diamonds carved out by pain
These clouds float toward me, and sweet swimmers strokeAll among flotsam, these things living brokeAll of them diamonds, shining for meBrighten my life, sometimes setting me freeThe uneven facets mostly carved out by painAching and hungry, such loss, future’s gain Heady, but love-lorn, overwhelmed stillIronically burdened by the choice of your willTo disappear brutally, that’s how it feelsI know, that’s not clear as your consciousness dealsAh well, another day’s gonna come aroundFor you, distractions are easily foundMy day? Perfect weather, and company, fineThough unfilled, painful spaces these ghosts undermine Oh weave me into spacious leaf filled gum treesThe kind I watched while laying in your lustI know that all these dreams have been desertedAnd we’ve both agreed there’s too much broken trustBut here within the slow revolving evening, the moon is round and large across my heartCrickets call,my silk skin fallsand you have been inside me casting shadows from the startNo, no actually it isn’t true, you warmly glowed initiallyThose days of you romancing meI wish I could have those again… I doYou lost me… Is it loss for you?I lost you… though never mine, it’s trueIt feels like loss to me…I wonder how it is for you, perhaps I never knew
