Crystal

 "CRYSTAL" ANN 1971

How grows my Crystal

The other half of me

Is magic right to cast the spell

To glow from tree to tree

Iridescent threads

Like rods in the eye

Of colours past the sea.

Grace

Birches

Silvery

Fluttering

Intimately

Conjuring its pools of liquid gold where once

Were shadows, dissipating grey and neutral mists.

Stars

Shining

Shimmering

Scintillating

Opalescent, coruscating, shattering

Into countless glistening splintered flecks of light.

You are my stars, my sun, my silver birch

You are my warmth, my grace, my inmost depths

You the instiller of the glow of life

Onto the rock made clay-like at your touch

You are my gem, your every facet splintering

Cascading in each corner of my being

you my darling

you my love

       you my Peter.

crystal

i am a buddy of " cloudthings", "big alser",and "louis". cloudthings asked me if i had met you, and having read your comments, went back to read your newest posting. nope! wasn't centered. but didn't matter one little bit to me. i would be comforted a great deal, if i knew that someone would keep those images of me after i am gone. i hope you will accept my offer of buddyship as i really like your stuff.

Mountains and islands

and of course the sea, I sail over the main to visit your home with its dogs and people, D.D. kind husband and happy children, and am charmed by your description of your life too. This poem was written over 40 years ago, but I remember the feelings I had when I wrote it and all comes back to me anew. How intoxicated we get when in love and even write a whole lot of complete rubbish, just as Aldous Huxley and his friends took new drugs, or a drunk person can think that they a spouting pure art, when they wake up and see it they realise that it didn't help, quite the opposite. When I danced at Art College I didn't need any alcohol to appear drunk it was the music and movement that mad me drunk! So too love. Yours and thankyou both from Ann of Norway
