being in love with love

i want to be in love
and write love poetry
but all i can find are
these forlorn notes to myself,

Love, where do You go
when You're not here?

these words are dark
pixels on the screen of You.

these words do not sing
a lover's song
these words leave me alone
for the want of You.

Love, where do You go
when You leave?

A sadness has entered and it is a love poem again that is looking for something , not ever seen, just felt, you can get near to seeing it on the face of a child, where their eyes shine and show you the depth of their souls. Walk with the children watch them play, and hear their laughter ring out unconditional Love, then copy them as they are pure. It is waiting for you, but you must be aware of it, as it is so hard to see in someone that is no longer a child, Yours Ian.T
