life?

life?

---

as for life, it is
a battle and a sojourning
in a strange land

                          ---Antoninus
---

it never fails to
surprise me when
an oldster announces
no regrets over

a life long lived;

I gather from that
that (1) she/he must be
in some serious denial
or (2) his/her life was

not much lived

It seems ...

I'm a gifted regret-collector. Paths not chosen when they coulda been intrigue the hell outta me. Wish I had time to explore them. All of them. Ah, well! just another regret. Thanx, Chuck

i love how you put the last

i love how you put the last line by itself, it makes it more defined. just curious, what would you do with a life that was longer (than others)?

Gosh, my apologies ...

to shorter-lived souls, I've already lived beyond many (most?) in terms of years. And, yeah, even many in terms of life-enriching experience. (More apologies.) As my father more than once said (to his gullible son, me), if I'm happy (about anything), then I'm being selfish (a serious sin, by the way) ... since there's so much unhappiness trompin' about manywheres else. To answer your question, I'm just livin'. An' sometimes livid. Dependin' on what's appropriate for the circumstances. Thanx again, Chuck

Amen Brother

I'm with you on the curiosity part. The regret I usually have in taking the wrong path is how much precious time is consumed. I already have a very long list of projects I intend to pursue/finish in the next world. Eternity ought to give me enough time. Yours, Deelilah
