Words - The Ties That Bind

Words - the Ties that Bind

The words we share
Fuse our souls together.

The truth in our experiences
Are understood between our lines.

Our hearts exposed to each other
in poetry, prose, and rhyme.

Though we may be strangers
The stanzas we know intimately.

As permanent as our ink on paper
We are vulnerable to each other.

Funny how we become protective of our "family"
We are bound together by our words.

And bound by our friendship...

Loved the poem Deb... great job 5/5 I hold it true, whatever befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

Nice one Tink

Like it a lot. "prose" instead of "pose"? Or did you mean as in to strike one? Respectfully Jim "Laws and rules don't kill freedom: narrow-minded intolerance does" : Race

in poetry pRose and rhyme..

Pretty sure you nailed the typo there Jim, like this Tink, that we are bound by our love for words and for this craft. As the pen is mightier than the sword we are a force indeed. Craig.

Well written

Very well written. I feel this is to all writers and poets, not just between two lovers or friends. I really like this one.

I had to stop at this one

I had to stop at this one and leave a few words. I had an itch :) As poets we are just a part of A much much greater thing Just a single strand we are within this cosmic ring Intricately woven into space and for all time Connecting us together like the fabric of a rhyme 2Quills
