Volcano

1.

The volcano gods are speaking
and the world is afire
the earth is shaking like a leaf
soon
the famished mouth
of need shall open
its angel wings
and spread the words
of dissolution,
one thought
deserving of another,

breaking down all that land
between us..

2.

the graveyard
shifts
from nowhere
the dance begins
and words
fall into my emptiness...

3.

across the great divide
of you and I
there is a mesa grande
flowers grow
like tumbleweeds,
the fragrance of love
is in the air...
we scent
its presence...

Your poems provide so much comfort in the reminder that what is best is not tangible and cannot be destroyed.

Well… poems are not worth

Well... poems are not worth the paper they're written on... otherwise we'd be rich and not soon-to-be-homeless... Materialism is not all that it's cracked up to be but the yolks on me. However, I thank you for your kind words... not always welcomed by the world. ~A "We have to try to get rid of the notion of time. And when you have an intense contact of love with nature or another human being, like a spark, then you understand that there is no time and that everything is eternal." Paulo Coelho
