Through Psyche's Eyes #2 - Uncertainties

UNCERTAINTIES

How these sisters
torment me.....

Doubt and Fear....

How they feed my mind
These terrible imaginations,
For the eyes of others
cannot comprehend
What they cannot see.

For things that hide in obscurity,
That hide from light......

Deny the truth of their monstrous secrets.

These questions now begin
To spin within my head,
Dark suspicions with imagination
Fill my mind's paintbrush,
Coloring with strokes of horror and dread,
On the stark canvas
Of that which cannot be proven or seen.

I resist the thoughts, I labeled as lies,
Struggled with tangled emotions
In my clouded mind,
With no stable truth to found.
That which I believed was shaken,
And the foundation was destroyed.

So armed with knife and lamp of oil,
I go to dispel my doubts
And cut the ties to free myself,

Regaining my liberty........

From whatever this darkness will reveal.

Hi Blue Halcyon,

I loved the first poem in this series very much (as you can see from my comment there). This second one is a great write, too, but I found a few places where it seems overpunctuated. For one, I am not a fan of "...", which were slightly overused here, and there were also a few commas that might better be left out. (l.9, l.16, l.19). Just suggesting, ~Nina
