Shadows (In memory of my brother.)

Another day, on which I eat good food
and drink good wine,
wishing that you could, too.

And I think one can predict
essentially chaotic future,
and fear that shadows may be endless.

Short poems

I think most of my poems about loss or bereavement tend to be short because I usually latch on to one particular aspect of what is really a complex emotional state. I'll try to have a look at the three loss poems you mention. Many thanks for reading and commenting on this one. Best wishes, Robert.

Hi Robert nicely written, deep and poignant. Obviously personal.
