Violent Subtleties

I might have stayed
if you hadn't
crushed my spirit,
misinterpreted everything
I ever said,
disrespected my mind and my ideas,
never understood my spirituality
or your own anger.

You, with your subtle violences,
silencing my soul,
refusing to widen
your own horizon.
Never believing
there was anything
i might teach you.

You, with your violent subtleties,
never aware of how
much you hurt me,
never allowing yourself
to really know me,
never accepting the love
I believed in
could really exist.

A very strong well written piece, I leave construction to those here on site that know the way things should be put together, you will be very happy here and make many friends, they are the best there is. A painful & very personal write & engenders a lot of empathy

Hi Beki, I came to see this after your comment to me today. I see what you mean. This is a painful & very personal write & engenders a lot of empathy from me at least. It declares you as resilliant & wise, & so brings inspiration. Glad you brought this to my attention. Anni "Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about ideas, language, and even the phrase, "each other" doesn't make any sense."
