That's My Flesh

-That's My Flesh-

bite by bite
you can devour me
lick your fingers
or for the etiquette minded
a finger bowl

consume me now
or stock your pantry
for communion
with guest
perhaps a midnight snack
That's My Flesh
it will not bid you access
to any After life
but I am told
it taste like Wafers

I'm trapped here ...

a diabetic man in a sweet-toother's body. Don't dare sample wafers. So few taste like 'em, I prolly shunt eat/partake lest a habit springs forth and then proliferates itself to hell'n back. Protein works, but only a bare amount ... and then only to a limited extent. Note: Can't take wine or grape juice either, so Communion's out for this not-so-rare American bird. Title's good, theme's great. And sore you, come to think'v it. Yours, Chuck PS: An' I prolly shunt lick my fingers. No tellin' ware they've been since last bean washed.

Thank you Chuck, When they chew me out..

they seldom savor the texture. Perhaps I stew too long on my own trespasses The term is Long Pork, if you ever see it on the Menu, it is best to leave the "diner" quickly. In ink, Dabbler

IKnowNoBox...

I'll take a short glass of wine and a couple of those wafers please... and maybe a book to read while others partake... enjoyed the read... great idea for theme... this flesh is only ours for a short time shared and abused and used and hopefully over-used... Richard

Thanks Richard,

When the host is served, the knifes come right out. How can one be a Host, and Main course at the same time? In ink, Dabbler

We never know when people are ready to

devour us, so I learned to serve just enough to see how they would prepare me. I can handle a roasting. I attempt to be 100% grade A Meat ( a bit fatty), with no filler, but there are always those who insist the meat is cut. Nothing like sopping up gravy with a biscuit.. In ink, Dabbler

Flesh?

Eating flesh......by all means and a little fat makes it oh so tender.
