My Story. (A Poem For My Nephew)

My name is Haseen, I am a boy.
And I read in class Three.
Beautiful poems I do enjoy
And I love to be free.

I love my mother and my father.
I pray to God for their sake,
And my sister and my brother
Who likes toffees and sweet cake.

I live with my uncle, and my granny
Is like an angel in the sky.
She loves me so much and calls me honey
And she has never let me cry.

I wake up early in the morning
When the birds sing in the green trees.
And the butterflies, dear and darling
Dance with the little honey bees.

I take my breakfast, then go to school
I study English, Science and Maths
My teachers tell me about the owl,
And lions and tigers and the rats.

And to love God and His creation.
And not to hate the poor and old.
To tell the truth in every situation
And let the lie not be told.

I wake up early every day.
But I woke up late today.
And I did not go to school
Because today was a holiday.

I watched today my favorite movie
About a lad called Harry Potter;
And Mickey Mouse and Tom and Jerry
And also Simba's gallant daughter.

And then in the evening I went
To a small playground near by.
And I played with my friend
Till I saw darkness in sky.

I will wake up early tomorrow,
Because tomorrow it will be Monday.
I will enjoy the songs of Sparrow
It will be another beautiful day.

And then I will go to school again,
Because I want to be a big man.
And this was all about me
Thank you for reading my story.

My Story.

Janice, Thank you so much for your kind comment. I really appreciate it. Thanks for the spelling. So glad you liked it and commented on it. I had written it for my nephew because of his love with poetry. He likes it very much and has written it in his diary(in which he writes his favorite poems, movies and cartoons names, information and many other things). He has learnt this poem by heart and has also shown it to his teachers and freinds. For him everything that rhymes is poetry, even when we are talking he is trying to find out the rhymes made by our words in our conversation, and then he becomes very excited to tell me that he has discovered a poem, lol. I showed your comment to Haseen, he is very happy and thankful to you. Thanks once again Janice. Sincerely, Wafi

Wafi, my foreign friend

I love these little snippets of peoples lives. It always makes them more than just a poem on a computer, it gives them character, a life, a being if you will. This was a sweet, simple, but highly engaging slice of life. My thanks to you for sharing sir! Tell your Nephew, Grandmother and the rest of your family, the old man, Rett, from Texas, USA said hello and may God bless them and you.
