Autumnal Snow

Sun shines
Leaves of fall
Red and gold
Autumnal

As I walk
leaves rustle
they are the carpet
beneath my feet

I feel a chill
in he air
Jack Frost
slowly creeps in.

Snow flakes
suddenly appear
gently at first
nature awakes

The wind races
blowing a blizzard
snow flakes
from cyber space fall

Snow settles
it covers my
carpet of fall

All is white
no colour at all
Crisp and cool
clear and bright

Autumn snow
falls through
this night.

Janice Thank you for your comment. I did post this originally on 1st Nov 2008 But no one looked at it. But because of the really bad snow we have had 10" in one day and more to come so I reposted it. You are the first to read. I understood your comment look at the times etc Because the other poem was not when I checked this morning. So it was posted later but no comment to say whether the other poet had read this before posting theirs. Synchronisation Oh yes. Electric Blue

When snow falls in Autumn...

it can be beautiful. Patches of shiver liquid reds and browns, find silent footsteps where crisp leaves once were. I felt this imagery - have lived this moment. Lovely work. I can see I have much to catch up on with your poetry. Bear with me. So many to choose from. This title caught me - the poem held me. Thank you. ~Pamela

Autumnal Snow

Pamela I was just checking out some of my poetry only to find you taking a peek I do hope I have taken you on many journies. I just love to walk and this is ususally on my own but there are times when it is crowded but I feel as if I am the only one who see hears and feel the beauty around me where others are oblivious so sad for them am I.
