I

In All Gratefulness to Nature

In All Gratefulness to Nature An artist in the lost ParadiseIn all gratefulness to nature:O dear! The speaking-trees of AlmightyDon’t thou symbolize my identitySpirit mine soaring into a realm high                                                                                                  On seeing thou nail a lie                                 Amidst plunder and degradationBelief mine not a mystery in integrity thineFor thou are true believers in life fineHave given us more than what was worthyAlbeit our coffers have remained emptyHow rewarding your looksFor a villager or a town-dwellerPalatial houses or mud dwellingsAll bear witness to your bountyHow much elevated in your companyFor God speaks to me through your buoyancySmall as I feel for I have nothing to giveSave that I recognize thy radiancyAnd giving meaning to my existenceReflected in human adornments On the carvings sacred in abundance.

Nature

in the old English nearly, just a few words that rubbed a little, "Don’t thou symbolize my identity" Don't, doesn't seem to belong here should it not be "Doth" thou symbolise, there is an unusual mix of old and new English, this happens quite a lot from the old countries that were taught their English in several ways. Still as the old bards English a lot of people find it hard to understand or are laxy in the old ways, me included. The flow was quite good, so we look forward to more from you in a gentler tone, Yours Ian.T
