Life's Emptiest Promise

Being completely empty,
can certainly make your life seem full.
For having little or nothing, can and will open you up to all possibilities.

Not only that,
there can be no possible misunderstandings,
or any disappointments from any others' expectations.

Because you'll be free from the proverbial "track record", as it were;
and so, no yardstick by which you could be measured.
Not to mention, no performance graph to compete with.

Yes.....I believe that quite possibly
this emptiness could be the most valuable "void" in the whole world.
I'm speaking, of course.....of a "clean slate"!

Make a promise to yourself that the lonely poems place will not have one of your poems in it,because I know that your writing is of a higher standard and should be looked at more with comments that show the value of the pieses you write so well, Yours Ian.T
