pain brush

paint the pain
when the nails
hit the holy flesh

paint the pain
when the scornful crown
thorned the holy brow

paint the grief
when mankind shaded His truth
with wilful untruth

paint the love
for mankind conveyed through
those bedazzled eyes

paint the blood
that could not be nailed
to that innocent tree

Hi Nokros,

I´ve been meaning to read your pieces for some time now, and am glad that I have not missed this one! It is touching without being pretentious or pathetic, which this kind of poem often is (at least, to me). Yours, ~Nina

Nokros,

I want to apologize to you Nokros...it appears that I have offended you without meaning to do so when I abruptly left the chat room a few days ago. I have no excuse for this unfriendly behavior except to say that I did not see your greeting before I logged out. I am sincerely sorry and by no means intended to be rude...please forgive me. I tried to respond to your private message, but found that you do not accept messages...so this is the only way that I could convey my apology and I sincerely hope that you will accept it. Hopefully~ Debbie P.S. I enjoyed this poem very much and I belatedly offer my welcome to the site. I hope that you will accept it in the spirit in which I have offered it. Debbie

Each verse i read feels like

Each verse i read feels like the pound of the hammer to nail. Hitting home, with such overwhelming feeling. I am ashamed and weak to say, I am almost glad i did not have to watch (What evil there resides in men). To have been one that truly loved him and had to view his suffering and mockery and pain, well, I just can't totally grasp that level of anguish/pain. And thats nothing to what he endured...We truly are blessed and loved to have one suffer so much on our behalf. I love the poem..all of it, especially these last two: 'paint the love for mankind conveyed through those bedazzled eyes paint the blood that could not be nailed to that innocent tree You paint quite a picture Nokros. So very well done. Always Sincere, Tonya
