Hollow Man

I get a little crowded in my mind,
but never in my heart.
Oh, don't get me wrong,
my thoughts of heart are abundant and plentifull
between my family and friends.

But, this hollow heart of mine
is not only mine and mine, alone.
Sometimes, It aches and I cry at night.

For there's no one there
with which to share my passions, my interests, or my desires.
Because I am a hollow man
and way too tired of waiting.

I do not like any of the alternatives,
so, I continue to wait...
in a hollow sort of way.

No, this heart of mine
is not only mine and mine, alone;
for though it beats for me,
it also truly beats for someone else.
