White light
"White light"
The light from the bright light
of daylight
in snow-light
shines in through the window
and dazzles our eyes
It snowed and it snowed
all day and all night-light
and now its a curtain
of swathe-shapes
so bold
some become figures
the trees with their fingers
all fussing about in the gardens
of neighbours
others are goose-pimpled
skin-like white smoothness
nipples and stomachs
so pregnant
and cold
white the sky
white the land
white our hands
white the landscape
trees grey all worrying
on their way to the lake
which is fake
only flakes
form its surface
all piled on the ice
winter is blooming
with blossoms
so nice (old meaning of this word!)

I'm sure I'll be feeling goat-like again.
