Sleep

I sleep, riding my horse floating to new frontiersI wake, to a dungeon basement bedroomI sleep, slaying a dragon, thoughtlessly with easeI wake, to myself, a thoughtless vacant prison Every night I see him, my old foe sleepKeeping kids screaming, haunting sleepless addictsForcing hope upon the meekGlow upon the bleak, anxiety on the panickedSleep, for someIs eight hours of miseryNo faux bliss can erase an already murdered history
