Collective Tendencies

crass words repeated verbatim
routinely modified
sharpened to a razors edge
to shave innocent intent
calculated malice
utilized to thin an equation
custom crafted to malign
seething sighs
scripted to provoke
festered resentment
set to burst
over a
 socio-pathic festival

I like the title. The poem

I like the title. The poem makes me think of someone who slices thru people with words sharp as a knife.

this

instantly reminds me of every vicious conversation or dialogue i've had throughout my life--"seething sighs" being the those kind of hot, angry sighs people have while they occur or after they're done. "crass words repeated verbatim" also being the ugliest possible words screamed or shouted, you know..these words immediately evoke what you intend to evoke. great imagery in a tight flow. good job. and sadly when I read this

I think of some of the ugly arguments here on neopoet. Where've you been hanging out, my friend? You're pulling a "conect11" and disappearing every now and then, lol! I hope all is well with you, brother. Mark W. Proverbs 27:6 "Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy."
