Hourglass

I held a dream in my pocket, tucked in for safe-keeping.
Lest a vile wind disturb it - and take it from me.
I took it out to show you, and it dissolved before me.
And fell ... like the sands of time.
                           To flow
                              no
                              more.
                              Look
                             Though!
                 See as it swirls, drifts.
And begins to recombine on itself
      Further proof, that with determination
and the will to succeed, a dream can never be destroyed fully

I had a different thought on this one......

I know you had a different reason for penning this poem, but a couple of sentences in it made me chuckle."I held a dream in my pocket, tucked in for safe keeping",and "I took it out to show you,and it dissolved before me."Why do I laugh?.......The same two things happen with me and money.Only the money never recombines on itself for me.Wouldnt that be somethin'?......... Good work on this one, anyhow.Keep writing. Your friend,in peace, Scott.
