i see you looking at me

i see you looking at me
with your Bukowski eyes,
you shit, piss and puke truth,
let all those Jesus freaks
curse the wind,
curse the fig tree,
let the jihad nail you to that tree,
we can't go back from where
we are now,
there is no way to exit,
no martyrdom
without the
plum blossom
falling,
frail, evanescent
and transparent.

Hi Anna...

Bukowski has inspiration within his works... every time I read something from his hand I'm left with enrichments beyond the outer stretches... another lovely poem from your hand here too... Richard

I see you...poem

K., You were up and running with this one. It's nearly beatnick, with the ever present "ther's no way to exit" realization about "where we are now". With the addition of feeling watched. A quick little vent poem. wcw

Wonderfully done

Electron, proton, neutron and photon are not transparent to our naked eye.We see the form supported by them only. But your poem has that power to see through. Some people may know the meaning of Shankara,Maya and Nature.I appreciate the reality of nature in this.It is not so deep anyway. Regards. Albert.

Anna

The first part of the poem reminded me of those ridiculous commercials Geico has out now with the googly-eyed stacks of money staring at people. I must say that this work vibes Bukowski! ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- -"As you slide down the banister of life, may the splinters never point in the wrong direction!" -"God is good, but never dance in a small boat."
