Myths of harmony (revised)

All my myths of harmony, and your postures of control
Perhaps I’m seeking constantly these masters of the soul

Some may roll or fall or stride, some may step or creep or slideSome may sit beneath the shade of gorgeous treesWe seem always looking outward - from the blanket of our mythsbut in the end we choose the things we think will please Did you please me for me - or did you please me just for you?Did you think that you would teach me – did you ever try to reach mewhen I tried on all those roles to pull you through?Would you hold my hand just to feel the warmth between?Would you take me there in silence just to deeply share the scene? Can you know a heart and not cage any birds?Could you show your love in action, as well as paint the words? There was a moment – the intensity was molten flowing redYou were right there in my soul – in my heart and in my headI have no idea what that may mean to youOr why, with all this evidence, you do the things you doI’d be guessing if I named them, so I leave it somewhere true Well maybe I should fold my myths of harmonyand cultivate the patience that might bring to meIf you only send me kisses, and reach straight for the sourceSome might think it obvious the map of future courseBut I don’t know, and I can’t know itGuess there’s no more time for you to show itWill I understand and choose the better way?I can learn to modify the things I sayI am a solitary leaf this windy day.

Hi Anni,

I enjoyed reading this piece. There were beautiful images, and it flowed really well. Also, I liked the question/answer idea. I, personally, found the use of "&" and the bold letters a little distracting... Yours, Ink

Revised this now Nina, it

Revised this now Nina, it reads quite differently, & I've been working hard to cut out using ampersands (SUCH a habit for me), plus got rid of the bold lettering. This was an early post hadn't got the concept of editing at that stage (bit slow, & distracted at that stage). Hope you are writing lots. Anni "Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about ideas, language, and even the phrase, "each other" doesn't make any sense."

Cool, Anni,

reads much more smoothly now! I´ve been a little "quiet of late", as you noticed, because I´ve been down with the flu for a whole week. I guess I got a little overenthusiastic about spring coming and that was the result! But now I´m back, and enjoyed revisiting this write! Yours, ~Nina

Thanks Ink… Yes I can see

Thanks Ink... Yes I can see how the ampersand might feel coarse to some. Not to excuse it, but I am so used to using it for speedy writing of songs, & space economy for fitting songs onto the page.. I should be more careful... The same applies regarding bold lettering to highlight word emphasis for the singers in my choir... These are habits I should keep in their own place... Ta for pointing them out... I also noticed some dodgy grammar... will go over it when less exhausted (likely to make it worse just now, too sleep deprived!!) Cheers Anni I wish to walk gracefully..... so as not to spill water.
