book in the mailbox

it was better that no one was home
but i did not understand the 8x11 note
ripped from your legal lined pad

and when i saw you next
at the store

you asked me something i had not read.
not wanting to be wasteful
 i pretended i knew

Whitetea, I can’t believe

Whitetea, I can't believe your poetry didn't catch my eye any sooner, I absolutely love it! Your style.... I've been reading some of your older writes as well...it's the type of poetry I really enjoy reading (sorry, am not very eloquent today ; ) This one, so concise yet so vivid in imagery. I look forward to reading more Whitetea. ~Stella

Wow

I can only pretend I knew the beginning from the end as I arrived at the in between section of this unfolding. And thus the temptation to pretend. Wonderful. We sometimes pretend to hide our ignorance or to protect the other.
